We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Joliet Living and Rehab Center LLC in Joliet, Illinois. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents, supervise nursing assistants, and maintain a positive and calm environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute the day-to-day functions of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), meet with assigned staff to plan services, and make written and oral reports as required
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, provide leadership to nursing personnel, and complete required record keeping forms
• Administer medications and perform routine charting duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental personnel and create a positive atmosphere throughout the unit
• Administer professional services, monitor personnel to ensure safety regulations are followed, and maintain confidentiality of resident care information

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to ensure safe resident care.'
• Ability to make independent decisions and be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
• Current CPR Certification required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
• Ability to meet general health requirements set forth by the facility
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum

Schedule:

• 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm shifts available
