Job Summary

As a Prep Cook, you’ll play an important role in preparing delicious, nutritious meals for our residents, patients, and staff. You’ll work alongside our culinary team to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients for daily meals, snacks, and special events.

• Assist with cooking and meal preparation according to established recipes and standards.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.

• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies.

• Work collaboratively with cooks and other dietary team members to ensure smooth meal service.

• Help maintain appropriate food quality, presentation, and portion control.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous food preparation or cooking experience preferred.

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Dependable and willing to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Availability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
