The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated Regional Risk Nurse

What You Will Do

• At least 3 year’s experience as a DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility

• Audit nursing clinical processes and ensure survey readiness

• Assist with developing and ensuring implementation of nursing policies and procedures

• Ensure accurate medical records and documentation review

• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, Joint Commission, and HIPAA regulations

• Evaluates work performance of all Director of Nursing’s and makes recommendations for change if necessary.

• Routine facility rounding to ensure optimal resident care with process recommendations when appropriate.

• Participates in the facility’s plan of correction response to an inspection survey and implements any follow-up required for nursing allegations.

• Monitors for allegations of potential abuse or neglect, or misappropriation of resident property and participates in the investigative process.

• Duties as assigned

What You Must Have

• Registered Nurse with at least 5 years nursing home experience, at least 2 years as DON preferred

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills

• In-depth knowledge of medical records management in Point Click Care.

• Familiarity with supervising nursing staff and collaborating with physicians
