Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000, based on experience
Position Status: Exempt

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and the nursing team within our skilled nursing center.

This role has significant influence over the quality of care our residents receive and the culture experienced by our nursing staff. You'll lead nursing operations, develop clinical leaders, oversee staffing and clinical practices, maintain regulatory readiness, and partner closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to continually strengthen resident outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Nursing Services Department and establish expectations for clinical quality and performance.

• Develop, coach, evaluate, and hold nursing leaders and staff accountable.

• Oversee nursing staffing and scheduling based on resident needs, regulatory requirements, and budget expectations.

• Monitor resident care through rounds, clinical review, and quality indicators.

• Partner with physicians, providers, consultants, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Oversee nursing competencies, education, and clinical practices.

• Support infection prevention and control initiatives.

• Lead nursing survey readiness and participate in plans of correction.

• Review resident incidents, clinical concerns, and allegations requiring investigation or reporting.

• Participate in recruitment and retention of nursing personnel.

• Support nursing and clinical budget development.

• Provide clinical leadership and direct nursing support when necessary.

What We're Looking For

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire.

• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related healthcare setting.

• Current CPR certification.

• Strong knowledge of long-term care clinical practices, regulations, infection prevention, and survey requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to develop teams and drive clinical accountability
