About the Role

Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center, a trusted leader in senior care for over 100 years, is seeking a Part-Time Dietary aide/Food Service Worker to join our Dietary Services team.

In this role, you will help ensure our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Our 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility proudly serves the community by providing Assisted Living and Long-Term Care services in one convenient location.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving meals.

• Perform basic food handling while following proper food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Deliver food carts safely and efficiently to resident households and dining areas.

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.

• Perform general cleaning of the kitchen, workstations, and food service areas.

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.

• Assist the Dietary Services team with additional duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.

• Provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred, but not required.

• Basic understanding of food handling, preparation, and kitchen equipment.

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work independently, remain flexible, and demonstrate personal integrity.

• Comfortable interacting professionally with residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, and outside agencies.

Schedule & Compensation

• Pay: $16.00 per hour

• Position: Part-Time

• Hours: 22.5 hours per week

• Shift: Day or Evening

• Weekends: Required

• Holidays: As scheduled
