Shippenville Nursing and Rehab is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence

• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility activities

• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Accurately and timely document treatments and resident progress using Net Health

• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team

• Promote resident safety, independence, and quality of life

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a supportive SNF/LTC setting

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Current or eligible Pennsylvania PTA license

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

• SNF/LTC experience is a plus, but not required

• New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!
