Shippenville Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' independence and functional abilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, and adaptive techniques

• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress using Net Health

• Communicate changes in resident status and progress with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team

• Participate in care planning and collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other clinical staff

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting safety, dignity, and independence

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current or eligible Pennsylvania COTA licensure

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

• SNF/LTC experience is a plus, but not required
