Help Children Build Skills That Last a Lifetime

PlayDate Behavioral Interventions is a nonprofit pediatric therapy organization committed to helping children and adolescents develop the skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and throughout their communities. We're looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who enjoy working with children and want a career where every day has purpose.

Whether you have previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities or are looking to begin a meaningful career, we provide the training and mentorship needed to help you succeed.

What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Support Specialist, you'll provide one-on-one support for children with developmental, behavioral, communication, and learning challenges. Working under individualized treatment plans, you'll help children practice important life skills in natural settings through engaging, play-based activities.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development

• Encouraging independence with daily living and self-help skills

• Facilitating learning through structured play and positive reinforcement

• Assisting children during community outings and recreational activities

• Preparing simple meals while following dietary guidelines and restrictions

• Recording session information and documenting client progress

• Participating in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development

• Maintaining required certifications and agency standards

What We Offer

We believe employees should be compensated for every minute they work—not just billable hours.

Our benefits include:

• One hourly wage for all work activities, including client sessions, meetings, documentation, training, and other work responsibilities

• Flexible scheduling with the ability to set your availability

• Paid initial and continuing education

• Supportive, team-oriented work environment

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 50% of the employee medical premium paid by the agency

• Employer-paid life insurance

• Paid time off available to both full-time and part-time employees

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have a high school diploma or GED

• Can successfully complete a background screening

• Have reliable transportation and are willing to transport clients when appropriate

• Enjoy working with children and families

• Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

Experience is appreciated but not required. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in:

• Childcare

• Education

• Behavioral health

• Direct support

We provide paid training toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), along with certifications in Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention, and other specialized areas.

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of children while building valuable professional skills, we'd love to meet you. Apply today and become part of a team that's changing lives every day.
