Now Hiring: Human Resources / Staffing Coordinator
The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Human Resources / Staffing Coordinator to join our team.
This position plays a vital role in supporting both Human Resources and Staffing operations by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, scheduling coordination, and compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
Ensure employee files are complete and maintained in compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
Assist with employee relations matters and provide administrative support to the HR Department.
Track licenses, certifications, health records, and other required employee documentation.
Maintain HR databases and personnel records.
Support benefit enrollment, payroll processing, and employee communication initiatives.
Assist with compliance audits and regulatory surveys.
Coordinate and maintain staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
Monitor daily staffing levels and assist with call-offs and shift coverage.
Communicate staffing needs with department managers and nursing leadership.
Assist with agency staffing coordination when necessary.
Track attendance, overtime, and staffing trends.
Help ensure compliance with staffing requirements and facility policies.
Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources, Staffing Coordinator, Scheduler, or Administrative experience preferred.
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, Long-Term Care, or healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of HR practices, employee onboarding, and staffing processes.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Experience with scheduling software and workforce management systems is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
