About Us
The W Group is New York State's largest provider of senior living and adult care. This role is central to our internal compliance program across our adult home (ACF), ALP, and LHCSA programs. We approach compliance as a partner to our facilities, not an inspector.
Who Should Apply
Candidates with hands-on audit or survey experience in healthcare or senior care. Former DOH surveyors, QA auditors, and compliance auditors are especially encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Conduct internal compliance surveys across all W Group facilities using standardized tools and checklists developed by the Compliance Officer
Gather objective evidence through documentation review, direct observation, resident and staff interviews, and environmental walkthroughs
Write clear, well-supported survey reports and partner with the Compliance Officer on findings and regulatory guidance
Conduct follow-up surveys to confirm Plans of Correction are being carried out as written, and flag corrective actions that are incomplete or ineffective
Maintain organized survey records in ALIS, identify recurring findings and cross-facility trends, and assist with compliance trend reports
Support NYS DOH survey readiness by identifying documentation gaps and operational vulnerabilities ahead of inspections
Provide on-site support during active DOH surveys as needed
Build respectful, professional relationships with facility administrators and staff, and clearly communicate survey scope and purpose at each visit
What You Bring
2+ years of hands-on experience conducting audits, surveys, inspections, or structured compliance reviews in adult homes, assisted living, LHCSA, nursing homes, or healthcare compliance (required)
