Activities Aide FT

Rose View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents every day.

In this important role, you will assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational and social programs that promote physical activity, mental stimulation, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections for our residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

Activities Aide Schedule

• Full-Time and Part Time

• Daytime hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 4pm to 7pm (Weekdays and Weekend)

Activities Aide Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including games, crafts, music programs, outings, exercise sessions, and holiday celebrations

• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs

• Transport and escort residents to and from activities using safe techniques (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)

• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement for those who need extra support

• Document resident participation and responses to activities

• Maintain activity supplies and equipment in an organized manner

• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and other departments to support resident-centered care

• Help create a positive, joyful atmosphere that enhances residents’ quality of life

Activities Aide Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, long-term care, or working with seniors is preferred

• Friendly, patient, and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for working with older adults

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and a positive, flexible attitude

• Basic computer skills (for documentation and scheduling)

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and assist with resident transport as needed
