Position Overview

Heritage Grove Estates is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Laundry Aide / Housekeeping Aide to join our Environmental Services team.

In this important dual-role position, you will help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents by providing high-quality laundry and housekeeping services. Through your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, you will directly support resident dignity, infection prevention, safety, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry Services

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens

• Ensure resident personal items are handled carefully to prevent loss or damage

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas and equipment

• Monitor linen and laundry inventory and replenish supplies as needed

• Follow all infection control procedures and linen handling protocols

Housekeeping Services

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways

• Perform routine housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and trash removal

• Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces to support infection prevention

• Restock cleaning and resident-care supplies as needed

• Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to departmental schedules and standards

General Responsibilities

• Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals according to safety guidelines

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and supply needs promptly

• Interact with residents, families, and team members in a courteous and professional manner

• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Support coworkers and assist with additional housekeeping or laundry duties when needed

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or healthcare experience preferred

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and infection control standards

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

• Dependable, punctual, and reliable

• Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
