We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center at Fletcher in Tampa, Florida. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence.

About the Role:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical, cognitive, or mental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Implementing occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and strategies to improve patient function and mobility
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborating with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote independence and self-advocacy

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field preferred

• Experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
