Shift: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $40–$45 per hour

Join Our Team as a Registered Dietitian

Union Plaza Care Center is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Dietitian to join our team. We are open to entry-level candidates and new graduates who are eager to begin their careers in long-term care and make a meaningful impact on resident health and wellness.

In this role, you will support high-quality nutritional care while working collaboratively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and nutritional risks

• Develop, review, and implement individualized dietary care plans using the Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS)

• Coordinate food service activities with nursing, environmental services, social services, and activities departments

• Ensure menus and therapeutic diets align with physician orders and regulatory requirements

• Supervise dietary staff to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency

• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and dietary records

• Participate in state and federal surveys and implement corrective actions as needed

• Provide nutritional education to residents and families

• Ensure appropriate substitute meals of equal nutritional value are provided when needed

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold residents’ rights at all times

• Attend facility meetings and interdisciplinary committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution

• Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome to apply

• Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and diet therapy

• Interest in long-term care, skilled nursing, and geriatric nutrition

• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

• Experience with Sigma Care and Geri Menu is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field

• Strong interest in providing quality nutritional care to residents

• Willingness to learn and grow within a skilled nursing environment

• Previous SNF or acute care experience is a plus, but not required
