Dietary Aide

Job Summary:

Assists with all Dietary operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving meals, cleaning kitchen and dishwashing

Qualifications:

Some experience in large-scale cooking services is preferred; on-the-job training is provided; must be able to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish job duties; must be able to pass drug screen and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed

• Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts

• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed

• Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident’s preferences

• Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability

• Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned

• Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals
