Position Summary:
Troy Rehabilitation and Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help enhance the quality of life for our residents by planning, organizing, and leading engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs for residents

• Lead group and one-on-one activities such as games, crafts, exercise, music, and social events

• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities

• Transport residents to and from activities as needed

• Help decorate and prepare areas for special events and holidays

• Maintain activity supplies and equipment

• Document participation and resident responses as required

• Work collaboratively with nursing and care staff to meet resident needs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in long-term care, recreation, or activities preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
