Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Memory Care team at Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehabilitation, working full-time evenings from 3pm to 11pm. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals, including vital signs, bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring

• Conduct vital signs and report any changes to the care team

• Assist with medication administration, as trained and certified

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive environment

• Participate in care planning and goal setting with the interdisciplinary team

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress

Requirements:

• Current certification as a CNA or CMA in the state of Kansas

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
