We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Director to join our team at Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Media, Pennsylvania. Our center is dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to our residents, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.

Job Summary:

The Activities Director is responsible for developing and implementing a diverse and engaging program of activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our residents. Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and implement a program of individual and group activities for residents

• Use resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident's activity program needs

• Identify and document in the resident's care plan, the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident

• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend all resident care conferences

• Recruit, schedule, and supervise assistants and volunteers

• Plan, schedule, and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms

• Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of long-term care experience preferred

• Demonstrates competence in leadership and tactful interpersonal communication

• Is familiar with both federal and PA Long Term Care regulations

• Must have the ability to function independently, exhibit flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, families, and support agencies
