As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and comfort of our residents by providing exceptional food service and support to our nursing home community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents in a timely and efficient manner

• Maintain a clean and sanitary food service environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

• Assist with food preparation, including cooking, plating, and garnishing

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and visitors

• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure efficient service delivery

• Participate in meal planning and special event planning as needed

• Maintain accurate records of food service and inventory management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in food service or healthcare industry preferred

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Certification in food service or hospitality a plus
