We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and patient-focused Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will provide skilled therapeutic services to help residents achieve meaningful functional goals, improve independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.
This position is ideal for a licensed OTA who values quality patient care, teamwork, accurate documentation, and positive resident outcomes while enjoying the flexibility of PRN scheduling.
Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Carry out individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes to the supervising therapist.
Accurately and timely document treatments, resident progress, and daily charges.
Maintain established productivity, documentation, and quality standards.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, utilization reviews, and other care planning activities as assigned.
Educate residents, families, and nursing staff regarding restorative programs, home programs, therapeutic activities, and strategies to promote independence as directed.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapy areas and equipment.
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Participate in facility performance improvement and quality initiatives.
Travel or float between facilities as assigned based on resident and operational needs.
Maintain compliance with Medicare, reimbursement, documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current state license, certification, or registration as an OTA, as applicable.
Knowledge of Medicare, therapy documentation, and reimbursement requirements preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the workday.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and support up to 50 pounds, as required.

Ability to manage the physical and emotional demands of patient care.
Comfortable working in a clinical and skilled nursing environment.
