We are seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our team in a 35-bed skilled nursing facility. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the facility in a clean, safe and attractive condition in accordance with facility policy.

Daylight schedule 5 days per week (flexible scheduling)

Requires rotating weekends and some holiday availability

Pay Rate starts at $14/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow standard safety and infection control practices and disaster and emergency protocols

• Clean and disinfect surfaces, perform floor care and deep clean resident rooms, bathrooms, guest areas, hallways and offices as needed

• Maintain all areas in a clean and safe manner

• Operate equipment as needed to maintain cleanliness in the facility

• Wash, dry, fold and deliver laundry to residents

• Respect resident rights and dignity; maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality

• Recognize and report concerns of suspected abuse, exploitation or neglect

• Communicate and conduct yourself professionally with residents, guests and other staff

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the use of proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures, safety precautions, waste disposal and familiar with the operation of equipment needed to accomplish tasks

• Must have reliable transportation

• High school graduate or GED preferred

       

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, reaching, stooping and stretching

• Ability to interact with and communicate professionally with others
