Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Provide basic nursing care, including taking vital signs, reporting changes in client condition, and maintaining accurate records
• Assist with mobility and ambulation, including transferring clients from bed to wheelchair or walker
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, including assisting with meal preparation and cleanup
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

• Currently certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Louisiana
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer clients, with or without assistance
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in a timely manner
