Position Summary

Aventura at Humility House is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper / Laundry Aide to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

The Housekeeper / Laundry Aide performs general housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry duties according to established guidelines and instructions from management. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, corridors, public areas, service areas, restrooms, showers, and other common areas. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance, Laundry and Environmental Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the facility.

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, hallways, corridors, public areas, and service areas.

• Clean and maintain showers, toilets, restrooms, and common areas.

• Perform laundry duties as assigned.

• Follow established cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

• Follow written and verbal instructions from management.

• Work cooperatively with coworkers and other departments.

• Provide professional and courteous customer service to residents and visitors.

• Complete assigned duties in a timely and dependable manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Positive and professional attitude.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work effectively with coworkers and other departments.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations professionally.

• Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including prolonged standing and walking.

• Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing 40+ pounds.

• Ability to maintain good physical and mental stamina necessary to perform the duties of the position.
