The Palms at Venice is seeking an experienced, motivated, and clinically strong Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to oversee and lead the therapy department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of clinical outcomes, compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the rehabilitation department, including PT, OT, and SLP services.

• Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered therapy services in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements.

• Oversee therapy scheduling, productivity, staffing, and program development.

• Monitor clinical documentation, outcomes, and compliance with Medicare, managed care, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with nursing, MDS, admissions, and medical providers to support appropriate utilization and care planning.

• Lead survey readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits related to therapy services.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist (required).

• Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (DOR or Lead Therapist preferred).

• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A, Part B, PDPM, and managed care guidelines.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to balance clinical care with administrative responsibilities.
