Department: EVS

Reports to: Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor

Position Type: Every other weekend schedule, 6am-2pm (Hours negotiable)

Job Summary:

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Aide to join our team! As a Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility by ensuring that patient clothing and linens are washed, dried, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold patient clothing and linens according to facility protocols
• Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines
• Fold and package linens and clothing for distribution to patients and staff
• Maintain accurate records of laundry production and inventory
• Ensure that all laundry equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the laundry department

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting (new graduates welcome to apply!)
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
