Position Summary:
The Activity / Recreation Aide assists the Activity Director in planning and implementing programs that promote physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being for our residents. This role is perfect for someone energetic, creative, and compassionate—someone who loves to make people smile.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and leading individual and group activities.

• Encourage resident participation and engagement.

• Help decorate and prepare for events, celebrations, and seasonal programs.

• Document resident attendance and participation.

• Escort and assist residents to and from activities as needed.

• Support the Activity Director with planning, setup, and cleanup of events.

• Contribute ideas for enhancing the recreation program.
  
  Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in long-term care or working with older adults preferred, but not required.

• Friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic personality.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to push wheelchairs and assist residents as needed.
