Cook FT

The Sentinel of Rockland, an Assisted Living Facility located in Montebello, is looking for a full time cook to join our friendly team of professional.

• Prepare food daily as outlined on the weekly menu plan.

• Assist with menu planning; review and adjust menus with REPORT TO, to accommodate foods in season, vendor sale prices, special events and holidays.

• Identify food and supplies needed for the next week's menus and report to the REPORT TO.

• Maintain written inventory of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, non-food supplies, dishes and utensils.

• Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery; ensure proper storage of all delivered foods and ingredients. Date items upon delivery.

• Ensure proper handing, labeling and storage of food for infection control.

• Coordinate and participate in serving and platting of food.

• Monitor portion control to meet resident's requests and minimize waste.

• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.

• ServeSafe certificate required

• Notify Administrator of malfunction of equipment or appliances.

• Carry out other duties as assigned by REPORT TO.
