What You'll Do as a Caregiver

As a Caregiver at Arbor Terrace Morris Plains, you'll help residents feel comfortable, supported, and valued every day.

• Provide compassionate, personalized assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, meals, and daily routines while promoting dignity and independence.

• Build meaningful relationships with residents through companionship and encouragement.

• Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being to the nursing team.

• Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided.

• Encourage residents to participate in activities and remain socially engaged.

• Collaborate with nurses, medication aides, and fellow caregivers to provide exceptional resident care.

• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents.

What We're Looking For

• Current New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in assisted living, senior living, home health, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred.

• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent care.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Availability to work every other weekend on one of our three available shifts.
