Responsibilities:

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort

• Distributes food/water and feeds residents

• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents

• Ambulates and transports residents

• Records and totals fluid intake and output

• Weighs residents

• Documents on flow sheets

• Assists with admission, discharge, and postmortem care

• Responds to call lights in a timely manner

• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care

• Reports all observations and assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse

• Takes and records vital signs

• Makes beds and keeps resident's units clean and in order

• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge

Requirements:

• NY CNA Certification

• Prior skilled nursing experience is a PLUS!
