Rolling Hills Health & Rehab, a premier retirement community in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Rolling Hills, you will play a vital role in helping our residents recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and maintain their overall health and well-being.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our Physical Therapy Director and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for our residents. You will assist with exercises, stretches, and other physical therapy modalities to help residents achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Your expertise will also be instrumental in educating residents, families, and other caregivers on proper body mechanics, fall prevention, and other healthy living strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapist with evaluations, treatments, and progress notes

• Implement and adapt treatment programs to meet residents' needs

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members

• Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to resident care planning

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care and outcomes

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or related field

• Post-graduate certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Valid PTA license in the state of Kansas

• 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
