What You’ll Do

As an Activity Assistant, you’ll help create a positive and engaging environment where residents can participate in activities that promote social connection, creativity, relaxation, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and facilitate fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities

• Assist the Activity Director with assessing residents’ interests and developing individualized activities

• Help plan and carry out activities based on residents’ preferences and care plans

• Prepare and distribute activity calendars and communication materials

• Build positive relationships with residents and their families

• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities

• Create an environment that promotes socialization, purpose, and meaningful connection

• Document resident participation and activities as required

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of job-related experience, preferably in long-term care

• Relevant experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior living, or a similar setting is welcome

• Creative, enthusiastic, and dependable team player

• Enjoys working with seniors and building meaningful relationships

• Motivated self-starter who can encourage resident participation

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Passion for individualized, resident-centered care
