Our facility provides short-term inpatient rehab services, skilled nursing care, and long-term care services to our residents. Position Summary: We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). As a PTA, you will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)

• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State

• One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred

• Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail

Specific Job Requirements:

• Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate

• Liaison with patients, families, and support departments to adequately plan for patient needs

• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times

• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility

• Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department

Essential Functions:

• Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT

• Chart appropriately and timely

• Utilize therapy software accurately

• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients

• Assist in the evacuation of patients

• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance

• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment

• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team

Salary: $30 - $35 HOURLY
