Dishwasher

Dishwasher Job Summary: 

The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as, but not limited to, dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies. Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.

Dishwasher Requirements: Must possess, as a minimum, a 10^th grade education. Must be 18 years of age and be able to read, write and speak the English language.

 

Dishwasher Duties:

1. Maintain work areas in a clean and safe manner by keeping work area free from hazardous objects. Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Dietary Manager. Maintenance issues should be reported to the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with facility protocols.

2.  Kitchen cleaning and storage activities 

3.  Report all accidents/incidents, including sharps injuries, to your supervisor immediately. (Note: such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur. In absence of supervisor, notify charge nurse).

4.  Follow facility established safety and infection control practices when performing tasks

5. Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident information.

6. Attend all departmental and staff meetings, in-service educational classes, orientation and on-the-job training programs, as scheduled or called.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
