Daytime Dementia Caregiver

Helping Hearts | Day Shift | Experienced Caregivers Wanted

Helping Hearts is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable Dementia Caregiver for daytime shifts to support clients living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. We are looking for someone with strong caregiving experience who can provide safe, respectful, and personalized care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

• Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.

• Assist with meals, hydration, and medication reminders.

• Support daily routines and encourage independence.

• Monitor changes in mood, behavior, and overall well-being.

• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.

• Engage clients in activities that support memory, comfort, and quality of life.
  

Qualifications

• Previous dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience required.

• HHA, PCA, CNA, or equivalent caregiving experience preferred.

• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented.

• Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and respectfully.

• Strong communication and observation skills.

• Background check and drug screening required.

• Daytime availability required; flexible availability is a plus.
