Maintenance Director

Alliance Health at West Acres is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Maintenance Director. This person should have outstanding project management skills with a demonstrated track record of success in project management and life safety.

Alliance Health at West Acres is a non-profit 130 bed skilled nursing facility located in Brockton, MA. As the backbone to our multidisciplinary care approach, you have an opportunity to make a real difference in an elder's life.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Maintains the appearance of the facility and performs regular inspections for order, safety, and proper performance of equipment (We utilize TELS for maintenance requests and tracking).

• Possesses the ability to plan and carry out programs in repair and equipment installation.

• Replace, repair, and purchase items according to facility policy and procedures.

• Provides leadership, support, and coordination to ensure the quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.

• Manages and supervises the maintenance assistant employee.

• Maintains and manages records of expenditures, supplies, and equipment.

• Ensures effective communication.

• Serves as on-call for emergencies along with the maintenance employees.

• Acts as Safety Officer of the facility. Follows all facility safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2+ years of related experience in Environmental Services preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Experience/knowledge in Department of Public Health Life Safety Regulations and OSHA.

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as professionalism.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Previous leadership experience.

• Computer literate.

• Ability to comply with departmental safety policies and procedures.

• Ability to perform tasks within the physical demand requirements of the position.

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35 - $38 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
