JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:      Painter

Department: Maintenance

Reports to:   Director of Maintenance

Status:         Non-Exempt

 

Position Summary:  The Painter is responsible for the appearance of Parc Provence building through painting the building interior and some outside painting under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance. They represent Parc Provence to residents, guests, families and the community, contributing to our mission of enhancing residents' quality of life.  Staying organized and on task is key! Essential Functions:

1.     Maintain painting in all common areas, including all hallways, stairwells, offices, throughout the facility.

2.     Perform drywall and taping repairs as needed.

3.     Prepare and paint the interior of apartments including ceilings, walls, and trim. Cover and protect finished surfaces as necessary. Remove all picture nails, window treatments when not being saved, patch as needed.

4.     Repair or remove wallpaper when necessary.

5.     Maintain paint supplies and equipment. Organize and label all paints appropriately with resident name, apartment or area and date.

6.     Complete work orders as necessary, including general maintenance work orders.

7.     Help perform numerous room moves which include moving personal belongings, furniture, and equipment as necessary.

 

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred and must be able to read and write.
• Senior Living Experience: Preferred six months’ experience in building maintenance.  
• Skills: Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to read, write and speak English.  Ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with staff, residents and families and possess clear verbal and written communication skills.
