Northcrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for an organized, dependable Staffing Scheduler with a friendly attitude and strong communication skills.

This position supports nursing schedules and helps create a welcoming first impression for residents, families, visitors, and staff. We’re looking for someone who represents Northcrest professionally and makes everyone feel welcome when they enter our facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing schedules, master schedules, and daily assignment sheets.

• Identify staffing needs and work with nursing leadership to fill open shifts.

• Communicate available shifts and schedule changes to staff.

• Keep OnShift updated and monitor staff pickups.

• Coordinate with HR and nursing leadership to schedule new hires.

• Track call-offs, attendance, and coverage needs.

• Greet residents, families, visitors, and staff with a friendly, professional approach.

• Direct visitors and answer questions to create a positive first impression of our facility.

• Support agency reduction through proactive scheduling and staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling experience preferred; long-term care experience is a plus.

• Experience with OnShift is a plus.

• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.

• Ability to manage changing priorities and follow through.

• A welcoming personality and commitment to teamwork.
