Medicaid Specialist

We are hiring a full-time Business Office Manager to join our dynamic care team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

Shift is Monday-Friday 8a-4p. Salaried position up to $72,000 with weekly pay. Must have prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities.

As the Business Office Manager, you oversee the day-to-day accounting function of the facility in accordance with current applicable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care operations, and as may be directed by the Administrator.

Education & Experience:

• Must possess, as a minimum, an associate’s degree in and/or an equivalent of two (2) years of training and experience in health care accounting, billing & collections.

• Experience in skilled nursing required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the billing and collection of all resident accounts.

• Balance and update monthly closings.

• Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties.

• Maintain resident trust(s) or delegate the responsibility, as appropriate.

• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports.

• Assist residents and/or responsible parties with payment sources.

• Maintain accurate census data.

• Secure all cash and valuables.

• Recommend to the Administrator the number and level of finance staff to be employed.

• Oversee the recruitment, interviewing and selection of staff for the department as well as scheduled work hours and work assignments.

• Review and check competence of finance staff and provide additional training as required.
