As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing medical services while fostering a warm and supportive environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing nursing care needs during your assigned shift.
Responding promptly to on-site emergencies, assessing situations, and taking appropriate actions.
Supervising private duty and office staff as assigned by the Director of Personal Care.
Maintaining open communication within the Personal Care team.
Counseling staff (CNAs, NAs, and Companions) and recommending corrective actions when needed.
Following established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Departmental Manual.
Identifying and managing emergency situations with appropriate protocols.
Supervising the Personal Care Department on weekends and filling open shifts as needed.
Reporting maintenance and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assisting residents with health education and temporary acute care needs, such as:
Vital signs monitoring
Medication assessments
Dressing changes for skin tears
Consultation with physicians (if requested by residents)
Referrals to PT, OT, or nursing services as needed
Psychological support and family intervention
Adaptive equipment education
Providing educational resources for residents and families about geriatric conditions.
Preparing and updating care instruction sheets for residents.
Administering TB injections for The Gatesworth community.
Managing work-related injury protocols.
Performing other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in Missouri.
At least one years of experience in a hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility, or similar setting is required.
Reliable transportation is required.
Must be proficient in both written and verbal English.
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, with rotating weekends.
