Balmoral Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. Housekeepers play an important role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors according to facility procedures

• Dust and disinfect furniture, fixtures, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces

• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in accordance with established procedures

• Clean and replenish supplies in resident and common-area bathrooms

• Follow infection-control procedures and proper cleaning and disinfection protocols

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to instructions

• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment in a clean and organized condition

• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, spills, and safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor

• Respond to housekeeping requests from nursing staff and other departments as needed

• Respect residents' privacy, personal belongings, dignity, and confidentiality

• Follow facility policies regarding resident safety, infection prevention, and workplace safety

• Complete assigned cleaning schedules and documentation as required

• Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred

• Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus

• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail

• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, instructions, and infection-control procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time-management and communication skills

• Ability to safely use cleaning products and housekeeping equipment

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting within job requirements

• Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule

• Schedule based on facility needs

• Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available

• Weekend and holiday availability may be required
