Charter Senior Living | Multi-Site Support Team
Salary: $85,000/year
Extensive Multi-State Travel | Full-Time
Charter Senior Living is seeking an experienced Memory Care & Programming Specialist to support Memory Care programs and teams across multiple Charter Senior Living communities.
This is an exciting next step for a seasoned Memory Care Director or regional-level senior living leader who is ready to take their experience beyond one building and make an impact across multiple communities.
This is not a traditional single-site position.
You'll travel extensively, step into communities with different needs and challenges, quickly assess what's working and what needs attention, and provide hands-on leadership, coaching, programming support, and operational guidance.
We're looking for someone who can walk into a new community, build credibility quickly, identify opportunities, and get to work.
Regional-Level Support Experience • Memory Care Expertise • Programming Leadership
You have a strong understanding of dementia, person-centered care, resident engagement, behaviors and communication, family dynamics, and what an exceptional Memory Care environment should look and feel like.
You understand that meaningful programming goes far beyond filling an activity calendar.
You know how to develop programming around residents' abilities, interests, histories, preferences, strengths, and sense of purpose, and you can coach community teams to do the same.
Experience with Montessori-inspired approaches to dementia care and programming is highly valued for this position.
You don't need someone standing beside you telling you what to do next.
You're comfortable entering a new community, observing, asking the right questions, identifying gaps, prioritizing needs, creating an action plan, and helping the team execute it.
You can adapt your leadership style to different communities and teams while maintaining Charter's standards and expectations.
As our Memory Care & Programming Specialist, you'll provide hands-on field support to communities across the Charter Senior Living portfolio.
Depending on the needs of the community, you may be called upon to:
Assess the overall performance and resident experience of a Memory Care program
Support implementation and execution of Charter's Flourish Memory Care Program
Evaluate resident programming, engagement, daily structure, and overall program consistency
Identify opportunities to strengthen Memory Care operations and resident experience
Provide hands-on coaching and development to Memory Care Directors and community associates
Train teams on dementia-care practices, resident engagement, and programming expectations
Support implementation of Montessori-inspired dementia-care and programming approaches
Partner with Executive Directors, Memory Care leaders, Life Enrichment teams, and other department leaders
Assist communities experiencing leadership transitions, vacancies, or program challenges
Help stabilize programs and establish sustainable processes and expectations
Support onboarding and development of new Memory Care and Programming leaders
Evaluate whether programming is meaningful, purposeful, resident-centered, and appropriate for residents' abilities
Identify training and performance gaps and help leaders develop practical solutions
Support family engagement and resident-satisfaction initiatives
Assist with program consistency, documentation, compliance, and quality-improvement efforts
Support survey readiness and adherence to applicable standards
Help communities strengthen their Memory Care reputation and overall program quality
Communicate observations, priorities, and recommendations clearly to community and regional leadership
Follow through to ensure improvement plans translate into sustainable results
You'll play an important role in helping communities bring Charter's Flourish Memory Care philosophy to life.
That means helping teams move beyond task-based dementia care and create an environment centered on:
Purpose • Choice • Independence • Connection • Engagement • Dignity
You'll help community leaders understand not only what great Memory Care programming looks like, but also how to consistently deliver it.
This is a true field-based, multi-community support position.
Travel is a significant component of the job and may include multi-state assignments and extended periods away from home, depending on community needs.
At times, assignments may require being on the road for several weeks at a time.
Because of the nature of the position, the successful candidate must:
Be genuinely comfortable with extensive travel
Be adaptable when schedules or community priorities change
Work effectively and independently while traveling
Quickly acclimate to new communities, teams, and leadership styles
Remain organized while managing multiple community priorities
Be comfortable moving between assessment, coaching, training, programming, and hands-on support
If extensive travel energizes you and you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and making an impact in different environments, this role offers an opportunity that a traditional single-site position cannot.
Senior living experience required
Significant professional experience in Memory Care and dementia care
Programming/Life Enrichment experience
Previous experience providing regional, multi-site, or comparable high-level community support
Strong knowledge of dementia programming and person-centered care

Experience coaching, training, and developing senior living teams
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization, prioritization, and follow-through
Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision
Ability to build credibility quickly with new teams and leaders

We're especially interested in candidates who have served as a:
Memory Care Director

Can coach a struggling leader without simply taking over their job
Understand that sustainable improvement requires developing the community team
Can pivot when priorities change
Are comfortable moving between strategic assessment and hands-on execution
Enjoy solving problems and seeing measurable improvement
Want to influence Memory Care beyond a single community
If you've successfully led Memory Care at the community level and are asking yourself “What's next?”, this could be it.
Instead of impacting one Memory Care neighborhood, you'll have the opportunity to influence multiple communities, leaders, associates, residents, and families.
You'll gain exposure to different markets, operational challenges, leadership teams, and community environments while continuing to expand your expertise.
For the right leader, this is an opportunity to move from running a great Memory Care program to helping build great Memory Care programs across Charter.
