Join the Mill Creek Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation team as an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician! We are a small, resident-centered, and quality-focused skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who are qualified to assist with housekeeping, laundry, and general environmental services.

About the Role

As an EVS Technician, you will help maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This position may include a variety of duties, including housekeeping, laundry services, and other environmental services tasks based on facility needs. The ideal candidate is flexible, takes pride in their work, and is committed to supporting a positive resident experience.

This role includes potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids consistent with a healthcare setting and requires working around residents who may have communicable conditions, while following all infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces.

• Sweep, dust mop, mop, and vacuum floors.

• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines.

• Perform laundry duties, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing as assigned.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping and laundry areas.

• Properly use, clean, and store equipment, tools, and supplies.

• Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.

• Maintain cleaning logs and complete assigned duties according to facility procedures.

• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and questionable resident conditions to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow infection control procedures and all health and safety guidelines.

• Assist with other housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred.

• Ability to perform a variety of cleaning and laundry duties.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Must be available to work weekends.

• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work efficiently.

• Dependable, organized, and flexible with a positive, upbeat attitude.

• Ability to follow infection control and workplace safety procedures.
