Restorative CNA

Must be a CNA/CMA! 

Work with the therapy dept to provide restorative care to residents.

Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing restorative care services.

Maintain treatment records, resident files and progress notes as required.

Review restorative care policies and procedures manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually and participate in making recommended changes.

Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff and therapy department as well as other related departments in planning restorative care.

Encourage resident to perform and/or participate in activities of daily living (ADLs).

Assist residents with occupational therapy (OT)/physical therapy (PT) exercises as directed.

Complete portions of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) as assigned.
